About Chris Jackson

Chris is a California-licensed attorney who has been practicing law since 1995.  He started his law practice as an international business attorney in China. He later worked for a large national law firm in San Francisco (Nixon Peabody, LLP) in the business department, which included mergers & acquisitions, business formation & compliance, securities law issues, real estate transactions, and general business and contractual matters.

Since opening his own practice in 2009, Chris has helped hundreds of clients on various  matters such as business formation, contract drafting and negotiation, employment issues, bankruptcy, acquisitions, real estate transactions and other business matters.  His clients appreciate his clear, concise and compassionate nature.

Chris also understands what it's like to be an entrepreneur, as he and his wife Susan built a 50+ employee business from the ground up before selling it at a substantial profit.  Chris has worked as General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer for several companies.  This background as both a business owner and a COO gives Chris unique insights from a business perspective, including a solid understanding of financial statements, commercial real estate acquisition and leasing, manufacturing, debt and equity financing, vendor relationships, customer development, equipment leasing, the agricultural industry, logistics, employment issues, sales, marketing, franchising, and many other issues that business owners and operators face on a daily basis.

Chris received his Bachelor's in Business from Cornell University and JD in Law from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.  He is happily married to his best friend, and together they have a son, a daughter and a dog.
